What do the levels mean?

  1. Level 1 (Formerly Critical): Recommend actions taken before the next flight.
  2. Level 2 (Formerly Urgent): Intended to be short term to re-position aircraft for maintenance.
  3. Level 3 (Formerly Normal): Intended to address CNR at operator convenience.
  4. For Level 2 and Level 3 CNRs: To assist operators in preparation to do the recommended maintenance, the CNR will provide fleet experience, or other supporting information such as past effectivity of the CNR, to allow the operators to establish the timing that best suits their fleet operations while effectively minimizing unplanned maintenance actions.
